On 17 April, 2012, a container from NACSI Canada arrived in Luperon, Dominican Republic. Inside the container was an entire house destined for the Low Cost Housing Market in the DR. Four days later the house was assembled and ready for the sub-trades.

The house was made using jute fibres and reinforced plastics and has been tested for Earthquake proofing and hurricanes by BioBio University in Chile. The Chilean standards are the toughest in the World when it comes to testing for structural integrity.

The opportunity to own a home with longevity built in has now become a reality for most Dominican Families. This house is now on display for interested Families to tour and assess for their needs and those of future generations. The location is marked on the map below.
